Index Cards

The full shelf — grouped by place, not by season.

The desk where cards become pages

The index cards are my full archive — seven notes grouped by where I was standing when the observation started, not by calendar month or weather. Newest entries appear first inside each group. The Chin Swee memory sits in its proper place like every other row: same photograph size, same standfirst line, no ribbon, no star. I organise this way because a lift landing memory feels different from a bus stop memory even when they were written in the same week.

By the lift covers corridor life — the cat, the kitchen table afternoons, the railing repaint. At the bus stop holds the coffee shop uncle and the early bus habit. After dark is for walks that ended later than planned, including rain on the park connector. If you prefer to read in order of mood rather than date, this is the page to keep open.
